Seattle gypsy band Ranger and the "Re-Arrangers" evoke the spirit of a Paris cafe and the raucous energy of a Gypsy campsite with their unique twist on gypsy jazz. Their tight rhythm section features a hand drummer, giving the music a bouncy swing and accentuating the joyful interplay between the two soloists. The band's repertoire includes swing standards, traditional Gypsy melodies, the music of Django and Grappelli, Brazilian chorus, and Ranger's unique originals. Have a listen here>>

mainstage must see ~ habib koité
Malian guitarist Habib Koité is one of Africa's most popular and recognized musicians. Inheriting his passion for music from his paternal grandfather who played the kamele n'goni - a traditional four-stringed instrument associated with hunters from the Wassolou region in Mali, Habib Kiote takes a unique approach to playing guitar. He tunes his instrument to the pentatonic scale and plays on open strings as one would on a kamele n'goni. At other times Habib plays music that sounds closer to the blues or flamenco with a restrained and intimate singing style that varies cadenced rhythms and melodies.
91.3 KBCS Welcomes Habib Koité on February 6, for TWO SHOWS, 7:30PM and 10:00PM {21+} $25 advance/$30 day of show ::: tickets here>>

Kim Virant, joined by Seattle-based songster Gerald Collier, will perform live on Saturday, January 25, at 8 PM at The Triple Door. Tickets available here>>

Meanwhile, a similar journey was unfolding for the Best Kissers in the World's vocalist/guitarist, Gerald Collier. In 1995, with the disbanding of rock band Best Kissers in the World, Gerald Collier ventured on his musical path solo refashioning himself as an alternative country singer songwriter.

musicquarium must see ~ Danny Godinez
If your looking to be awed, Danny Godinez is your guy. Using harmonics, slapping his strings, and picking with precision and speed, Godinez "becomes one" with his guitar right before your eyes. And, right when you think this is as good as it gets, he adds smooth singing and vocally mimics his guitar licks in harmony - creating more than just music, he creates a soundscape experience.
Danny Godinez is a Seattle based genre-bending guitarist/singer/songwriter that has opened for, or shared the stage with, Robben Ford, ZZ Top, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Herbie Hancock, and Jason Mraz - to name a few. He performs solo, with various musicians in his own band, and collaborates with legendary drummer Michael Shrieve (Santana) in Spellbinder.
Catch Danny Godinez, with Larry Mahlis on drums, Farko Dosumov on bass, and Darian Asplund on woodwinds/keys on Friday, January 17, at 9PM in the Musicquarium {21+} NO COVER

Holiday Parties at The Triple Door
For the past 10 years, we've been celebrating the magic that happens between an artist and their audience through music... But what isn't always mentioned, is the magic we help create between people, through communication, when our venue is used year round for fundraising and development events, receptions, and weddings.
We invite you to participate in the magic by planning your celebration at our venue during this holiday season - whether it be an intimate party of 10, or banquet for the hundreds - we have the space to accommodate your wishes.
Imagine the uniqueness of celebrating the holidays at a vaudeville theater, built in the Roaring Twenties. Imagine you and your guests watching one of our holiday shows from a private suite overlooking the theater. Imagine toasting your favorite glass of sparkling in front of a 1,900 gallon freshwater aquarium with live entertainment playing in the background. Or maybe you want to bring in your own entertainment? That's fine by us.
For more information, please contact our Private Dining Department at 206.838.4312, or fill out a private event inquiry form on our website.
